Welcome to our practice

Restorative procedures are the most important part of a dentist's skill set because, as well as maintaining a visually aesthetic appearance, a restorative procedure's main focus is on improving the function of different structures in the mouth. Experience and skill in this area of dentistry is crucial because patients often come to us during an emergency in which their teeth have been severely damaged. As your Ventura dentist, Dr. Rose's goal for her patients is to help them regain the ability to chew and speak with no pain and return their self-confidence with the beauty of their smiles.

Bone and Soft Tissue Regeneration

One service that distinguishes Dr. Rose from other dentists in Ventura, CA is her ability to perform both bone and soft tissue regeneration. Normally there is a healthy layer of keratinized gum surrounding each tooth which protects it from infection. The recession of this gum tissue due to aging or inadequate oral hygiene can leave teeth roots exposed and vulnerable to decay. As this gum tissue recedes the bone beneath it will also experience resorption, or degeneration, which compromises the basic strength of the jaw.

To perform regeneration, the gums in the affected area are first opened to expose the receding bone. Then a small piece of barrier membrane is attached into the affected area, which encourages new bone growth. The new bone growth provides benefits such as increased structural support for restorations, prevention of further bone resorption, and overall increased strength of the jaw bone. If you have experienced gum recession, there is no better dentist in Ventura, Santa Paula, or Camarillo to perform this procedure than Dr. Rose, so call our office to schedule an appointment.
